DESKRIPSI TRAINING SPARE PART MANAGEMENT IN POWER PLANTS

Persaingan dalam dunia bisnis yang semakin ketat menuntut berbagai perusahaan menjadikan setiap fungsi yang ada dalam perusahaan harus lebih dari sekedar mendukung kelancaran kegiatan perusahaan, yaitu setiap fungsi tersebut harus menjadi keunggulan bersaing bagi perusahaan. Diantara fungsi tersebut adalah fungsi maintenance. Perencanaan maintenance yang strategis adalah sesuatu yang mutlak. Perencanaan strategis disini adalah sistem maintenance harus dimutakhirkan, termasuk didalamnya manajemen suku cadang (spare part management).

Dalam power plant, ketersediaan suku cadang merupakan kunci utama bagi kelancaran fungsi maintenance. Ketidaktersediaan suku cadang dapat menyebabkan kerugian, fungsi maintenance gagal berjalan dan berdampak bagi fungsi produksi. Nilai kerugiaan dapat dipastikan sangat besar, tidak hanya kerugiaan material, tapi juga kerugian non material seperti image dan kepercayaan pelanggan. Hal ini tentu saja sangat berdampak bagi keberlangsungan perusahaan. Oleh sebab itu, penerapan program perawatan mesin atau peralatan yang efektif, serta pengendalian manajemen suku cadang (spare part management) di dalam power plants menjadi sangat penting. Melalui pelatihan ini, hal-hal mengenai strategi spare part management di dalam power plants akan dibahas lebih lanjut dan diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan di perusahaan.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IN POWER PLANT TRAINING DESCRIPTION

This course gives the understanding operation and protection of Electrical Equipment especially in Power Plant of Geothermal and Steam turbine generation.

The main electrical equipment for the above plant are Synchronous generator, Switchgear covering SF6 and Vacuum Power Circuit Breakers, Oil Power Transformer, Transmision and Distribution Conductor, Electric motors, and also Protective Relays. The purpose of this course is to develop a thorough understanding of those electrical equipment.

Discuss safe and proper operation and protection of critical components and application, operation, inspection and testing issues with an overriding emphasis on safety. Case studies covering the main manufacturer’s equipment will illustrate the important practical principles. Other power system protection components will be discussed as well to ensure that main electrical equipment in power plant is understood in the correct context.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING COAL FIRED POWER PLANT

Penggunaan batubara sebagai bahan bakar power plant telah meningkat secara signifikan. Dengan kondisi pasar batubara yang tinggi seperti saat ini, banyak power plant berusaha untuk mencari supply batubara yang lebih murah. Akibatnya mempengaruhi penurunan kualitas batubara yang yang diumpankan ke boiler, yang tentu saja hal ini sangat berpengaruh kepada operasional boiler. Persalahan yang terjadi diantaranya adalah penurunan kinerja boiler, penumpukan deposit abu dalam boiler, dan juga berkaitan langsung dengan permasalahan lingkungan.

Pelatihan ini akan memberikan pengetahuan bagi praktisi batubara dalam hal penggunaan batubara untuk bahan bakar boiler pada power plant. Dalam penyampaiannya akan membahas tentang boiler batubara yang difokuskan pada kinerja boiler dan peralatan pendukungnya. Selain itu akan diberikan juga pengetahuan mekanisme penumpukan abu (slugging and fouling mechanism) dalam boiler yang dapat mengganggu operasional boiler.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION FILTER UDARA UNTUK POWER PLANT

This course gives the understanding operation and protection of Electrical Equipment especially in Power Plant of Geothermal and Steam turbine generation.

The main electrical equipment for the above plant are Synchronous generator, Switchgear covering SF6 and Vacuum Power Circuit Breakers, Oil Power Transformer, Transmision and Distribution Conductor, Electric motors, and also Protective Relays. The purpose of this course is to develop a thorough understanding of those electrical equipment.

Discuss safe and proper operation and protection of critical components and application, operation, inspection and testing issues with an overriding emphasis on safety. Case studies covering the main manufacturer’s equipment will illustrate the important practical principles. Other power system protection components will be discussed as well to ensure that main electrical equipment in power plant is understood in the correct context.

DESKRIPSI PELATIHAN PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA ANGIN

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu yang selanjutnya disingkat PLTB adalah pembangkit listrik yang memanfaatkan energi angin (bayu) menjadi listrik sesuai dengan peraturan Menteri EDSM No. 12 Tahun 2017.

Pembangkit listrik tenaga angin merupakan salah satunya energi terbarukan (renewable energy) di Indonesia yang layak untuk dikembangkan, karena Indonesia mempunyai luas lautan yang hampir dua sepertiga dari daratan, sehingga sumber angin dari laut sangat memungkinkan untuk memutar generator sebagai pembangkit tenaga listrik tenaga angin (PLTB).

Secara prinsip mesin pembangkit listrik tenaga angin (PLTB) adalah sebuah generator untuk mengubah energi mekanik menjadi energi listrik, dimana tenaga mekanik ini dihasilkan oleh angin yang akan memutar baling-baling yang berbentuk sudu-sudu blade dan porosnya dikopel dengan mesin generator pembangkit.

Energi angin adalah sumber energi ramah lingkungan yang telah lama diketahui dan dimanfaatkan oleh manusia. Dalam dekade terakhir ini, pemanfaatan energi angin untuk membangkitkan listrik mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Teknologi PLTB semakin menjadi pilihan yang menarik, sebab teknologinya sudah mature & proven.

 TRAINING OUTLINE AUXILIARY POWER MEASUREMENT, OPTIMIZATION & ANALYSIS

  1. Power Plant–Fossil fuels
    • Fossil fueled fired generating stations have very precise definition of Thermal efficiency.
    • It is the ratio of heat equivalent of Fuel fired to the heat equivalent of electricity sent to transmission net work.
    • Auxiliary power consumption has two components.
    • Unit auxiliary power consumption & station auxiliary power consumption.
  2. Power plant cycle efficiency
    • Role of Steam Generator is to generate steam which is used to convert heat energy into kinetic energy.
    • Conversion cost includes usage of steam produced for internal consumption such as SCAPH ,TDBFP, Air Condtioning based on VAS
    • power consumption would depend on coal quality and on type of cycle.
    • Why not use better coal, which would lower auxiliary power consumption and an optimum performance can be sustained with less expenditure on O&M Cost.
  3. Power plant cycle efficiency
    • Gross boiler efficiency at any point of operation can be improved by consuming more electricity through Mills & fans.
    • When we are using low cost–inferior coals- we consume more auxiliary power consumption to improve operating efficiency.
    • Usage of an additional pulverizer to handle poor coal results in increased power consumption, however, corresponding improvement in Gross boiler efficiency may not be achieved.
  4. Importance of Auxiliary Power Consumption
    • Degradation of equipment performance can be readily guaged from power consumption .
    • Unit or boiler power consumption is monitored as % of generation which is just a gross index.
    • Power consumption guarantee on boiler covers all major drives
    • Power consumption should be measured together in a typical boiler efficiency test.
  5. Change in plant Conditions with time increases Auxiliary power
    • Air in leakage to boiler gas enclosure
    • Fouling of Boiler heating Surface–higher dry gas loss would increase power consumption
    • Higher draft loss due to air ingress and ash deposition.
    • Air heater leakage/ Air ingress after APH’s
    • Deterioration of Turbine Steam Path Condition.
    • Condenser pressure/ condenser cleanliness- air ingress and extent of tube pluggage
    • Steam and water leaks from drains and vents.
  6. Net Heat Rate
    • Net heat rate monitoring would cover impact of aux. Power consumption of different drive
    • Net heat rate monitoring can be adopted for inernal processess.
    • This would call for individual monitoring of drives using accurate energy meters .
    • Such a system is being introduced as a retrofit in all old plants in ntpc & consumption levels are being tracked from overhaul to overhaul.
  7. Major Drives
    • Drives are listed for a typical 500 mw unit.
    • Auxiliary power consumption measurement can be done as per a standard test code.
    • However no test code covers correction methodology which would be worked out based on process design.
  8. Performance Analysis
    • Measured total power could be different from base line values for changes in operating regime
    • It shall be higher wherever boiler performance has degraded
    • Gross power could be same because some auxiliaries may be doing better and some operating at worse point due to performance degradation
  9. Correction Methodology
    • Correction methodology is jointly developed with vendor as it is not generally covered in test codes
    • Application of correction requires accurate monitoring of process parametes using accurate off line instruments
    • Coal variation would have major effect on unit performance and thus power consumption
  10. Boiler Feed Pump
    • Boiler feed pump is not a boiler
    • Auxiliary and its power consumption varies in response to turbine mode of working and its degradation
  11. Boiler Feed Pump
    • Bfp power consumption constitute a major chunk of power consumed by unit auxiliaries.
    • Usage of steam driven feed pump results in reduction of apc %.
    • Usage of turbo driven feedpump improves cycle efficiency.
    • Any feedback on tdbfp performance due to condenser degradation
