INTRODUCTION PLUMBING SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE

Fungsi dari peralatan plumbing adalah untuk menyediakan air bersih ke tempat-tempat yang dikehendaki dengan tekanan yang cukup (sistem penyediaan air bersih) dan membuang air kotor ketempat-tempat tertentu tanpa mencemarkan bagian penting lainnya (sistem pembuangan).

Sistem plumbing adalah sarana yang sangat penting dan dikenal banyak orang, keberhasilan suatu sistem plumbing adalah tergantung dengan perencanaan dalam perancangan, kesalahan akan menyebabkan sistem tidak akan berfungsi dengan semestinya, hal lainnya yang dapat menyebabkan sistem tidak berfungsi adalah pemasangan dan perawatan dari peralatan plumbing.

BOILER CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING TRAINING INTRODUCTION

This training explores boiler components and their purpose. Additionally, the course explains the ISA symbols used in boiler control, how to identify the engineering and control of boilers using ISA symbols, and a method of presenting the engineering design. This training covers topics including defining the control, three elements control design and operation, ratio control fundamentals, feed forward control, feed forward plus feedback control, cascade control, and how they are implemented in distributed control systems (DCS). This training also review control concepts, proportional control, proportional plus reset control, and proportional plus reset plus derivative control; what they are; and how they are used. This training also will introduce the implementation of Model Predictive Control in industrial power plant.

Dr. Ade Haryanto, Ph.D. received the B.S. in Engineering Physics and M.S. degree in Instrumentation and Control from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2003 and 2006, respectively, and Doctor Degree (Dr.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Intelligent Control and Automation in 2010 and 2013, respectively, from School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea. His research focus is including modeling, identification, dynamics system, instrumentation and control of the power plant and its implementation using distributed control system. As a professional instructor, he has trained various topics in the scope of process control, automation, and metering systems, which were aimed to participants coming from industrial practitioners such as PT. Pupuk Kaltim, PT. Badak NGL, PT. Pertamina, PT. Indonesia Power, PT PLN, PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda, etc. In the project implementation areas, the instructor also experience in project documentation, control system migration and power plant design.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING HYDROGEN PLANT

Agar dihasilkan energi listrik yang optimal dari suatu unit pembangkit, diperlukan sistem pemeliharaan peralatan, salah satunya adalah sistem pendinginan. Sistem pendinginan diperlukan agar peralatan, seperti pada generator listrik tetap dalam kondisi terbaik saat melakukan fungsinya. Sistem pendinginan juga digunakan untuk mengurangi penurunan kualitas isolator, kerugian hambatan tembaga listrik, kerugian gesekan, dan penurunan lifetime pada peralatan elektrik. Pada PLTU digunakan Hydrogen (H2) sebagai pendingin generator. Gas hidrogen menjadi pilihan terbaik untuk menggantikan udara, nitrogen, dan helium sebagai media pendingin terutama pada generator-generator berukuran besar karena Hidrogen memiliki karakteristik yang sangat baik jika digunakan sebagai pendingin. Untuk generator-generator berukuran besar, sistem pendingin hidrogen akan menjadi lebih ekonomis jika dibandingkan dengan menggunakan pendingin udara.

Untuk mendapatkan gas hydrogen, diperlukan keberadaan Hydrogen Plant. Pada Hydrogen Plant digunakan suatu generator hidrogen yang berfungsi sebagai pemisah antara hidrogen dan oksigen lewat proses elektrolisis. Generator ini memiliki inti yang di dalamnya adalah electrolysis module yang merupakan tempat terjadinya pemisahan elemen-elemen air. Kendala yang umum terjadi pada PLTU adalah waktu starting yang cukup lama. Sedangkan pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas (PLTG), kendala ada pada biaya karena bahan bakar yang digunakan cukup mahal. Selain itu frekuensi start-stop harus diperhitungkan karena akan memperpendek usia peralatan karena meningkatnya keausan. Mengingat suhu pada saat operasi sangat tinggi, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan upaya pendinginan untuk mengoptimalkan operasi dan mengurangi kerugian karena pemanasan.

MAINTENANCE PLANNING AND SCHEDULING TRAINING INTRODUCTION 

The advancement in technology has tremendously increased the efficiency, product quality and production capacity of production plants to meet the market demands and competitions. However, it also has increased the complexity of the equipments as well as the procedures and efforts to operate and maintain the equipments. Unawareness of this development leads to jeopardizing the increased efficiency and production capacity.

Current maintenance management in Indonesia shows that most of maintenance activities are breakdown repair, which is never efficient. Breakdown repairs also result in a loss of production capacity as well as a long downtime. An effective maintenance Planning and Scheduling will reduce the amount of breakdown repairs and shifting it to a higher proportion of preventive maintenance. Maintenance units without a good planning and scheduling will utilize only about 25% of the available time of the technician, while a good planning and scheduling will double this percentage by eliminating and reducing anticipated delays.

This course explain why and how to achieve the doubling of percentage of “wrench time”, the actual time where technicians conducting maintenance activities. The Planning Principles are the core of the improvement. The Basics of Planning describes the methods to develop a work order, identify the scope of the work, the required skills, parts and tools. Scheduling has also Principles and method that must be followed in order to reach the doubling. Furthermore, performance indicators will be discussed to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance Planning and Scheduling. This course is closed with the method to manage the budget, resources and to implement predictive maintenance.

TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Ir. Edy Suwondo is a lecturer at the Aerospace Engineering Department, Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB) and a member of the Aircraft Design, Operation and Maintenance Research Group, ITB. He has been working in the area of maintenance since 1992. His expertise is in Reliability Centered Maintenance, Reliability Control Program, Maintenance Planning and Life Cycle Costing. He has conducted various research in those area at GMF AeroAsia, Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM), Nusantara Turbine and Propulsion (PT NTP) and Indonesian Aerospace Company (IAe). He involves also in various projects in his research group. Mr. Edy Suwondo received his bachelor degree from the Aerospace Engineering ITB and his doctor degree from Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands. His doctor research was in the applications of Life Cycle Costing in maintenance area.

Ir. Pawito Merto Sontowiro, Msc.

Ir. Pawito Merto Sontowiro, Msc adalah alumnus Teknik Mesin ITB dan sejak tahun 1973 menjadi dosen di jurusan tersebut sampai sekarang. Beliau adalah kepala Laboratorium Energi termal Teknik Mesin Institut Teknologi Bandung, Beliau juga pernah menjabat sebagai ketua jurusan Teknik Mesin ITENAS Bandung, Pernah mengajar di SESKOAD, Pernah mengajar di prokerma depnaker-ITB, prokerma PLN-ITB. Beliau juga pernah memperdalam keilmuan di luar negeri seperti bidang Coal Energy , Argonne, Chicago, Ill., USA, bidang Combustion, Petc, Pittsburgh, Pa, USA dan Pinch Technology, Asian-Australia Energy Cooperation. Bidang spesialisasi Beliau adalah Boiler, Turbin Uap/Gas, Pompa, Kompresor, Konversi Energi dan analisis energy.. Pernah mengerjakan projek pada bidang Modifikasi Sistem Pembakaran Lokomotip D-52, Modifikasi Sistem Penunjang Boiler, Analisis Sistem Boiler, dan lain-lain. Beliau adalah trainer produktif, pernah mengajar training  untuk banyak perusahaan di Indonesia seperti Chevron Indonesia Company, Chevron pacific Indonesia, Total E&P Indonesie, PT. Pusri, PT. TUJUAN TRAINING REFRIGERASI :

Training Refrigerasi ini bertujuan untuk :

  1. Memahami prinsip kerja mesin refrigerasi dan pembebanan pendinginan.
  2. Memahami kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing jenis mesin refigerasi.
  3. Memahami instalasi mesin refrigerasi dan sistem beban.
