The Intro to Drilling workshop improves operational safety and reduces crew turnover by providing an overview of the oil and gas industry and Exploration and Production operations specifically.

Participants will learn how to:

  1. The various segments of the oil and gas business and how they interrelate.
  2. The role that drilling plays in the oil and gas industry.
  3. The basic components of the well construction sequence.
  4. The various roles and business relationships between oil and gas operator companies, drilling contractors, and various types of service companies.
  5. The organization structure of a multi-discipline exploration and production team and the on-site drilling team.
  6. Roles and responsibilities of rig crew members.
  7. Terminology related to the drilling process.
  8. The importance of HSE policies and practices.

 

INTRO TO DRILLING TRAINING MATERIAL OUTLINE
