BACKGROUND

The construction industry is one of the main contributors to the economy and society, with long-lasting projects that require professional management in various aspects. However, productivity and safety in the construction and asset management sectors still require significant improvement through the adoption of advanced digital technologies, modern management systems, and innovative construction techniques. In today’s business climate, efficiency and effectiveness have become essential, requiring professionals in this field to plan, execute, and supervise work with skills that continuously adapt to technological advancements and new methods.

The Certified Field Construction Specialist certification program is designed to prepare participants to manage human resources, equipment, materials, technological processes, and funds in construction projects and infrastructure management. Through this training, participants will learn advanced management and engineering techniques, the use of professional software tools, and the application of best practices in procurement, resource planning, project cost control, occupational health and safety, and risk management. Additionally, participants will gain an understanding of environmental, financial, legal, and contractual aspects related to project-based industries.

 

OBJECTIVES

Upon the completion of the course participants should be able :

  1. n-site supervision: Overseeing daily construction activities to ensure they align with project plans and specifications.
  2. Project coordination: Managing subcontractors and ensuring seamless communication between the site and the overall project team.
  3. Quality control: Upholding safety and quality standards throughout the project.
  4. Budget and schedule management: Working to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  5. Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with state and federal laws, codes, and regulations.
  6. Earn certificate CFCS from American Academy Of Project Management AAPM

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for certified field construction specialist training includes construction project managers, supervisors, architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in managing or overseeing construction projects, It also includes quality assurance and safety officers, contract administrators, procurement specialists, and anyone seeking to enhance their project management skills within the construction domain.

 

CONTENTS OF CFCS – CERTIFIED FIELD CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST – AAPM® 

  1. Safety and Health:

    • Hazard identification and risk management
    • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Excavation and trenching safety
    • Heavy equipment and vehicle safety
    • Lockout/Tagout procedures

  1. Project Management:

    • Scope and work breakdown structure
    • Project scheduling and cost management
    • Risk analysis and feasibility studies
    • Contract and procurement management

  1. Quality and Materials:

    • Concrete testing and specialty concrete
    • Quality assurance and control processes
    • Sustainable construction materials and practices

  1. Field Operations:

    • Site preparation and sub-base work
    • Field surfacing and marking
    • Specialized equipment operation and rigging

 

Training Methods

The training can be conducted using two methods, allowing participants to choose the most suitable option:

Offline Training Method:

  1. The instructor conducts face-to-face training for 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (WIB)) over 2 scheduled days.
  2. Techniques used: presentations, discussions, practical exercises/simulations, roleplay, and case studies.
  3. The training is conducted in a classroom setting.

Live Online Training Method:

  1. The instructor conducts live training for 4 hours per day (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (WIB)) over 2 scheduled days.
  2. Techniques used: presentations, discussions, practical exercises/simulations, roleplay, and case studies.
  3. The training is conducted via Zoom or Google Meet.
  4. Live Online Training Requirements:
    1. Participant Preparation
      • It is recommended to use a laptop instead of a smartphone.
      • Ensure a stable internet connection.
      • Prepare notebooks and writing tools.
      • Participants must install the necessary applications before the training session. If assistance is needed, they may contact our staff before the training begins.
    2. Platforms Used
      • The primary platforms for live training sessions are Zoom or Google Meet.
      • Materials, assignments, and documents can be accessed via Google Classroom, Google Drive, Email, or WhatsApp, depending on the organizer’s instructions.
    3. How to Join the Video Conference
      • The organizer will send an invitation link.
      • Click on the provided link and follow the instructions.
      • You will be directed to the video conference session.

 

Examination Method

  • The examination will be conducted on the third day or according to a mutual agreement.
  • The exam will be held online using Zoom or Google Meet.
  • Participants will be required to complete 50 multiple-choice questions within a 2-hour time limit.
