DESCRIPTION

The construction industry is one of the top contributors to the economy and society. Large lifespans of most constructed facilities and civil infrastructure assets always provide vast opportunities for several requirements for professional management agendas. Numerous studies and reports revealed that the productivity and safety aspects in construction and asset management sectors require significant improvements through the adoption of sophisticated digital technologies, advanced management and novel systems.

The necessities for improved efficiency and effectiveness through prudent modern professional practices is even greater in today’s financial climate and business environment in the industry. Projects must run efficiently on all fronts, and managers must be able to plan, execute and supervise work with professional skills in areas where each new technological advance creates a need for innovative and refined techniques, methods and equipment.

The main purpose of this course course

CCPM is to prepare participants for future professional roles in managing people, equipment, materials, technological processes, projects and funds in the construction and infrastructure management works. This purpose is facilitated by the study of advanced management and engineering techniques as well as sophisticated tools and software for professional purpose in the construction and infrastructure management domains for buildings and civil infrastructure.

The Certified Construction Project Consultant course aims to prepare participants for future roles in managing people, equipment, materials, technological processes and funds in the construction, management and maintenance of buildings and assets in the civil infrastructure. This aim is facilitated by the study of advanced management and engineering techniques in the fields of construction, building and maintenance.

Participants gain significant knowledge and skills in procurement and project delivery, resource planning and management, project costing, health and safety, and risk management. They also learn about the environmental, financial, legal and contractual considerations associated with project-based industries.

About AAPM Certification

The AAPM certification in Construction Management field is similar to other professional courses, in that after meeting specified guidelines and following the required procedure, individuals are certified as capable of applying the knowledge in their respective field.

The AAPM® certification process, administered by IBS International Board of Standards, identifies to the public that those individuals who have been authorized to use the AAPM® certification marks in the globe have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients.

 

OBJECTIVES

The Certified Construction Project Consultant course aims to prepare graduates for future professional roles in managing people, equipment, materials, technological processes, projects, assets and funds in the design, construction, operation and maintenance projects of building and civil infrastructure works in public and private sectors, and at the completion of the course:

  1. Participants shall Apply high-level advanced knowledge and skills in Construction and Infrastructure Management practice related to design, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings and civil infrastructure
  2. Plan and execute an independent research project in a relevant Construction and Infrastructure Management topic by applying appropriate research principles, sound methods and research skills
  3. Reflect in managing practical issues/ complex problems and describing/ developing contemporary and sustainable Construction and Infrastructure Management trends and best practices related to design, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings and civil infrastructure
  4. Investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, perceptions, problems, concepts and theories of Construction and Infrastructure Management practice to provide rational solutions to composite problems using critical thinking and team-based/ independent judgement in the project- based construction industry
  5. Exercise clear and coherent communication for all professional purposes with specialist and non-specialist audiences including clients, customers, project teams and stakeholders from different disciplines and diverse cultures
  6. Exercise and exhibit a high-level of accountability, autonomy, credibility, ethics, and integrity in all professional responsibilities and personal work output

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

Professionals with interest in improving construction management results within their organizations, and who would benefit from an understanding of the construction management knowledge as related to project implementation. Direct involvement in a particular project, either as a construction manager or as a staff member, then this training becomes a recommended prerequisite.

CASE STUDIES

Case-based discussions will be conducted with topics related to the subjects of training, while for every chapter completed will be followed by comprehensive exercises focusing on the described subjects in the chapters as related to CCPC exam certification from American Academy of Project Manamagement-AAPM

 

Training Methods

The training can be conducted using two methods, allowing participants to choose the most suitable option:

Offline Training Method:

  1. The instructor conducts face-to-face training for 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (WIB)) over 2 scheduled days.
  2. Techniques used: presentations, discussions, practical exercises/simulations, roleplay, and case studies.
  3. The training is conducted in a classroom setting.

Live Online Training Method:

  1. The instructor conducts live training for 4 hours per day (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (WIB)) over 2 scheduled days.
  2. Techniques used: presentations, discussions, practical exercises/simulations, roleplay, and case studies.
  3. The training is conducted via Zoom or Google Meet.
  4. Live Online Training Requirements:
    1. Participant Preparation
      • It is recommended to use a laptop instead of a smartphone.
      • Ensure a stable internet connection.
      • Prepare notebooks and writing tools.
      • Participants must install the necessary applications before the training session. If assistance is needed, they may contact our staff before the training begins.
    2. Platforms Used
      • The primary platforms for live training sessions are Zoom or Google Meet.
      • Materials, assignments, and documents can be accessed via Google Classroom, Google Drive, Email, or WhatsApp, depending on the organizer’s instructions.
    3. How to Join the Video Conference
      • The organizer will send an invitation link.
      • Click on the provided link and follow the instructions.
      • You will be directed to the video conference session.

 

Examination Method

  • The examination will be conducted on the third day or according to a mutual agreement.
  • The exam will be held online using Zoom or Google Meet.
  • Participants will be required to complete 50 multiple-choice questions within a 2-hour time limit.
