LATAR BELAKANG 

Sistem Refrigerasi dan Tata Udara banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan sangat bermanfaat bagi kebutuhan hidup manusia. Dalam aplikasi sistem refrigerasi, proses pembekuan makanan sangat bermanfaat dalam menjaga kesegaran dan keawetan makanan. Sedangkan dalam aplikasi sistem tata udara, pengkondisian udara dalam suatu ruangan berguna untuk mendapatkan kenyamanan bagi penghuni yang berada didalam ruangan juga untuk menjaga kualitas dari produk atau alat tertentu yang temperature dan kelembabannya harus mengikuti standar tertentu.

Refrigeran dalam sistem refrigerasi mempunyai peran yang sangat penting yaitu zat kerja utama yang digunakan untuk menyerap dan mengalirkan kalor dalam sistem refrigerasi. Refrigeran merupakan komponen terpenting siklus refrigerasi karena refrigeran yang menimbulkan efek pendinginan dan pemanasan pada mesin refrigerasi. Refrigeran yang sering digunakan pada industri-industri, gedung bertingkat, perkantoran, mal maupun rumah tangga yaitu refrigeran sintetik. Jenis refrigerant sintetik diantaranya Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) dan Hydroflurocarbon (HFC). Refrigeran jenis sintetis mempunyai banyak kelemahan, yaitu tidak ramah lingkungan seperti merusak lapisan ozon, menimbulkan pemanasan global dan memerlukan tenaga listrik yang cukup besar.

Kesepakatan internasional dalam Konvensi Wina, Protokol Monteral, undang-undang dan perarturan pemerintah Indonesia yaitu membahas tentang penurunan produksi dan konsumsi bahan-bahan kimia perusak ozon ( lima jenis CFC dan 3 jenis halon). CFC termasuk Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS), yaitu zat yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan ozon, maka mulai mencoba melakukan penghentian pemakaian ODS. Maka untuk menghapus refrigerant yang berjenis CFC di gunakan refrigerant alternative yang memiliki nilai Ozon Depleting Potential (ODP) nol, dan GWP yang dapat diabaikan yaitu hidrokarbon. Hidrokarbon sebagai refrigeran sudah dikenal masyarakat sejak 1920 di awal teknologi refrigerasi bersama fluida kerja natural lainnya seperti ammonia, dan karbon dioksida. Hidrokarbon memiliki beberapa kelebihan seperti ramah lingkungan, memberikan kinerja sistem refrigerasi yang lebih baik, keawetan umur kompresor, dan hemat energi.

Yang menjadi permasalahan adalah bagaimana mengganti refrigerant sintetik dengan refrigerant hidrokarkon. Salah satu jalan keluarnya adalah selain mengganti jenis refrigerant yang paling baru seperti R 32 yaitu dengan melakukan proses retrofit.

DR. Ir. I Made Astina, M.Eng.  and Team

DR. Ir. I Made Astina, M.Eng. is currently assistant professor of mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering ITB. He graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department ITB in 1992. Prior to his Ph.D. obtainment in Engineering (thermodynamics, school of science for open and environmental systems) from Keio University Tokyo, Japan in 2004, he received Master of Science in Engineering (mechanical engineering department) from the same university in 1997. His researches concern on thermodynamic, development of new thermal systems, thermodynamic cycles, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. His papers were published in international and national journals, besides he also presents his papers in international and national seminars. DR. Ir. I Made Astina, M.Eng.

DR. Ir. I Made Astina, M.Eng is currently assistant professor of mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering ITB. He graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department ITB in 1992. Prior to his Ph.D. obtainment in Engineering (thermodynamics, school of science for open and environmental systems) from Keio University Tokyo, Japan in 2004, he received Master of Science in Engineering (mechanical engineering department) from the same university in 1997. His researches concern on thermodynamic, development of new thermal systems, thermodynamic cycles, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. His papers were published in international and national journals, besides he also presents his papers in international and national seminars. Besides teaching at the university, he also has experiences to give short courses for industrial practical engineers and publics and to collaborate practical consultant works.

BASIC REFRIGERATION OBJECTIVES TRAINING

Memberikan pengetahuan tentang dasar sistem pendinginan (refrigerasi) antara lain : dasar-dasar thermodinamika, siklus refrigerant, peralatan refrigerasi (kompressor, evaporator, condenser, expansion valve), perpipaan refrigerant, operation and maintenance.

DESCRIPTION AC & REFRIGERATOR 

Teknologi mesin pendingin atau mesin refrigerasi saat ini sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan dunia modern. Teknologi ini dibutuhkan untuk penyiapan bahan makanan, penyimpanan dan distribusi makanan, proses kimia yang memerlukan pendinginan, pengkondisian udara untuk kenyamanan ruangan baik pada industri, perkantoran, transportasi maupun rumah tangga. Karena peran tersebut, teknologi ini semakin banyak digunakan di tengah-tengah masyarakat dan di berbagai perusahaan.

Saat ini teknologi mesin refrigerasi yang paling banyak digunakan adalah dari jenis siklus kompresi uap. Siklus jenis ini biasanya diaplikasikan pada mesin refrigerasi untuk domestik (rumah tangga), komersial, industri, transportasi, pengkondisian udara domestik dan komersial, chiller dan MAC (Mobil Air Conditioner). Mesin jenis ini biasanya menggunakan jenis-jenis refrigeran yang kurang bersahabat dengan lingkungan karena mengandung senyawa yang dapat merusak lapisan ozon dan efek pemanasan global, seperti jenis CFC (chlorofluorocarbon), HCFC (hydrochloro-fluorocarbon) dan HFC (hydrofluorocarbon). Dampaknya terhadap lingkunganantara lain seperti efek pemanasan global dan penipisan lapisan ozon, yang terjadi bila zat (refrigeran) tersebut terlepas ke atmosfer yang disebabkan kebocoran pada mesin refrigerasi ataupun penggantian dan recycling refrigerant pada saat dilakukan perawatan.

Mengingat pentingnya aspek lingkungan sekitar, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja serta sistem pengendalian pengoperasiannya, maka perlu untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif kepada para praktisi refrigerasi. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penciptaan suatu manajemen pengetahuan pada organisasi ataupun individu yang menangani kinerja mesin refrigerasi. Melalui pelatihan ini, peserta akan diberikan pengetahuan dasar peralatan kontrol dan keamanan pada mesin refrigerasi. Selain itu juga akan dijelaskan secara komprehensif mengenai berbagai macam peralatan dan sistem keamanan, mulai dari pemilihan, prinsip kerja, perawatan, dan penanganan masalah dalam proses pendinginan.

 

TUJUAN AC & REFRIGERATOR 

Melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan peserta dapat:

  • Memiliki pengetahuan tentang dasar peralatan kontrol dan keamanan pada mesin-mesin pendingin atau mesin refrigerasi.
  • Merencanakan/menghitung instalasi sistem AC & refrigeration dengan perangkat kerja yang ada.
  • Melakukan koordinasi dan mengawasi pekerjaan pemasangan sistem instalasi AC & refrigeration.
  • Melakukan diagnosa kerusakan dan penurunan kinerja mesin
  • Mampu mengoperasikan sistem AC & refrigeration  serta mengawasi pekerjaan dan perawatan dan perbaikan instalasi sistem refrigerasi dan tata udara.
  • Memodifikasi sistem dengan teknologi maju terutama dalam hal penghematan energi.
