DESKRIPSI TRAINING INSTRUMENTATION AND PROCESS CONTROL

Bidang control dan instrumentasi dalam dunia industri memiliki peran penting dalam proses yang membutuhkan presisi, kehandalan dan keamanan sistem. Instrumentasi menjadi bidang yang bermanfat besar terutama dalam kegiatan otomatisasi industri. Sistem Instrumentasi merupakan sebuah sistem yang meliputi pengaturan variable-variabel seperti temperature, tekanan (pressure), aliran (flow) dan kecepatan (speed). Variable-variable ini merupakan keluaran yang harus dijaga sesuai dengan keinginan yang telah ditetapkan terlebih dahulu oleh operator yang disebut set point.

Process control dilakukan untuk menjamin bahwa proses yang dilakukan sesuai dengan yang diinginkan sehingga kualitas yang didapat akan terjamin. Dalam process control, data merupakan komponen sangat penting dalam pengendalian kualitas proses maupun bahan pertimbangan utama dalam pengambilan keputusan. Keakuratan komponen-komponen akan menentukan jaminan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Adanya kesalahan dalam satu bagian proses pengambilan maupun pengolahan data dapat berakibat fatal, hal tersebut terjadi karena pengambilan keputusan pada sistem kontrol yang tidak akurat.

Kesadaran akan pentingnya akurasi pengukuran menuntut pemahaman karakteristik instrumentasi yang digunakan, termasuk didalamnya fasilitas komunikasi yang tersedia sebagai sarana interface dengan peralatan lainnya. Training ini akan membahas sisi praktis dan prinsip-prinsip sistem kontrol yang selama ini terjadi di industri. Trai8ning ini akan sangat membantu memberikan wawasan kepada peserta mengenai instrumentasi agar dapat bermanfaat  pada aktivitas industri. Peserta akan mempelajari Logic Function, Operation, Instrumentasi Sistem Digital, sistem konstruksi, operasi, menghindari hazards dengan cara mengontrol proses elektronik dan pneumatic, serta troubleshooting instrumentation system, sehingga peserta akan paham tentang instrumentasi dan process control, mendukung peningkatan kualitas kerja dan secara umum performa perusahaan secara keseluruhan.

Bidang kontrol/instrumentasi dalam dunia industri memiliki peran penting, apalagi dalam proses yang membutuhkan presisi, kehandalan dan keamanan sistem. Instrumentasi industri telah menjadi bidang yang bermanfat besar terutama dalam kegiatan otomatisasi industri. Sistem Instrumentasi merupakan sebuah sistem yang meliputi pengaturan variable-variabel seperti temperature (temperature), tekanan (pressure), aliran (flow) dan kecepatan (speed). Variable-variable ini merupakan keluaran yang harus dijaga tetap sesuai dengan keinginan yang telah ditetapkan terlebih dahulu oleh operator yang disebut set point.

Dr.Ir. Sutanto Hadisupadmo.MT.,IPM is a lecturer at Physics Engineering Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and has been as a Head of Laboratory of Industrial Instrumentation at ITB. He is former Director of Instrumentation Center and Technical Services of ITB. His education started at Engineering Physics, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB-1977), then at Diplome Universite in Energetique, Universite de Prepignan, France (1985), Magister Engineering in Instrumentation and Control (ITB) and Doctor (ITB). He has over 20 years of experience doing training, consulting work in instrumentation, measurement, safety and process control and Mr. Sutanto has trained many training/courses for many companies in Indonesia such as PT. TOTAL Indonesie, Pertamina, PT. Petrokimia Gresik, PT. Badak LNG, PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda, PT. Pupuk Kaltim, PT. Jaya Ancol and many others. As professional he has handled many projects in Instrumentation Process, Tools Evaluation, Transmitter, General Evaluation of Instrumentation Specification, Commercial Building Power Audit, Maintenance Management Evaluation, etc. To get more advance information and knowledge he has participated in domestic and overseas training, seminar, workshop and conference as participant or speakers.

Dr.Ir. Sutanto Hadisupadmo.MT.,IPM is a lecturer at Physics Engineering Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and has been as a Head of Laboratory of Industrial Instrumentation at ITB. He is former Director of Instrumentation Center and Technical Services of ITB. His education started at Engineering Physics, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB-1977), then at Diplome Universite in Energetique, Universite de Prepignan, France (1985), Magister Engineering in Instrumentation and Control (ITB) and Doctor (ITB). He has over 20 years of experience doing training, consulting work in instrumentation, measurement, safety and process control and Mr. Sutanto has trained many training/courses for many companies in Indonesia such as PT. TOTAL Indonesie, Pertamina, PT. Petrokimia Gresik, PT. Badak LNG, PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda, PT. Pupuk Kaltim, PT. Jaya Ancol and many others. As professional he has handled many projects in Instrumentation Process, Tools Evaluation, Transmitter, General Evaluation of Instrumentation Specification, Commercial Building Power Audit, Maintenance Management Evaluation, etc. To get more advance information and knowledge he has participated in domestic and overseas training, seminar, workshop and conference as participant or speakers.

PENDAHULUAN

Sistem pengukuran merupakan bagian dari teknik instrumentasi, karena itu ada baiknya untuk memulai pembahasan dengan pengertian-pengertian dasar teknik instrumentasi. Teknik instrumentasi adalah seni dan ilmu yang mempelajari sifat-sifat benda dan hukum-hukum alam dimanfaatkan bagi kepentingan manusia melalui pengamatan, pengukuran, dan pengendalian proses fisik.

Sistem kontrol adalah sistem dinamik yang menggunakan komponen mekanik, listrik, hidrolik, pneumatik. Teknik pengaturan dapat dilakukan dengan sistem operasi satu arah yang berurutan, maupun pengaturan umpan balik dengan parameter yang diatur dibandingkan dengan parameter masukan dan kesalahan yang ada digunakan untuk menurunkan kesalahan itu sendiri.

Untuk mendukung sistem produksi yang memadai diperlukan tenaga kerja yang handal atau peningkatan keahlian tenaga kerja profesi Sistem Instrumentasi dan Kontrol.

MATERI TRAINING INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM:

  1. This course deals with measurement techniques ranging from the basic principles, sensors, up until data acquisition.
  2. Coverage includes definition/terminologies, calibration, standards, static and dynamic signal analysis, data representation in the frequency domain, sampling theorem and aliasing, digital data acquisition, dynamic response of instruments, step response of first and second order systems, statistical analysis, measurements of temperature, strain, flow, pressure, velocity, and displacement.
  3. This class discusses the basic of control theory and its applications.
  4. The syllabus includes examples of control application in our daily life and in the industry, on-of controller, proportional control, PID controller, mathematical model of control system, block diagram formulation and simplifications, system stability, transient and steady state response, root locus analysis, Bode and Nyquist diagrams, and compensation design.
  5. Considerations in implementing control, components of automatic control systems: actuators, motors, sensors, vision systems, analogy control systems, digital control systems (PC-based, PLC programming), examples; robots, NC machines, etc, design of control systems,
  6. Case studies.

Ir. Aris Suryadi, MT  adalah alumnus dari ITB dengan bidang spesialisasi otomasi proses produksi. Beliau menjadi dosen di jurusan mesin Poltek ITB (politeknik Negeri Bandung) sejak tahun 1990. Beliau sudah sering menyampaikan training untuk topik-topik di bidang kompetensinya, diantaranya seperti  Motor Management System, Pneumatic & Electro Pneumatic, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Hydraulic & Electrohydraulic, Automotif Technology, Mechatronic and Automation, Application Engineering, Automatic Control Technology. ABSTRACK Electrical Instrumentation

Dalam bidang industri, pengetahuan dasar instrumentasi sangat penting terutama untuk proses pengukuran dan pengendalian / kontrol. Di dalam suatu industry kimia, misalnya, bermacam-macam reaksi kimia harus diukur da ndikendalikan baik suhu, volume campuran bahan, tekanan, derajad keasaman, dan lain-lainnya. TRAINING OBJECTIVE : 

Pelatihan ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang instrumentasi dan sistem pengendalian (control system) dalam suatu industri. Pembahasan mengenai instrumentasi akan dilakukan secara menyeluruh sesuai unit atau elemen dari suatu sistem penngendalian, dari unit pengukuran, transmitter, transducer, hingga unit kendali akhir (final control element atau control valve). Sedangkan pembahasan control system akan dimulai dari konsep control system, elemen-elemen, hingga control system yang digunakan secara industrial seperti DCS (distributed control system). Sistem pengendalian untuk menjamin keselamatan kerja (safety) juga akan dibahas dalam pelatihan ini. Pelatihan akan dilaksanakan baik dengan metode pemaparan, maupun diskusi dan studi kasus, agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta di lapangan. INSTRUCTOR :

Ir. In Jumanda Kasdadi, MT. and Team

Ir. In Jumanda Kasdadi, MT is graduated from Chemical Engineering Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)and now he is lecturer at chemical engineering poltek ITB (Polban).  Ir. In Jumanda Kasdadi, MT has experienced to be instructors at industrial training more than 15 years, both either  inhouse training or public training. Trainings that delivered by him for many companies  such as for oil and gas, for mining, for manufacture and etc. held in some cities in Indonesia like Jakarta, Bandung, Batam and others.

Beside training, Ir.Injumanda Kasdadi,MT also have experiences at some professional engineering working such as:

  • Risk Assessment at oil & gas
  • project of Processing at process design
  • Facility for waste handling
  • Piping and feasibility study of pipeline in onshore and offshore
  • And others
