TRAINING  OBJECTIVES:

This course provides a comprehensive overview for those who are new to the protective coatings industry. It is also an ideal refresher for reviewing the fundamentals of corrosion and control and the use of paint and coating as a protective mechanism against corrosion and deterioration of industrial structures.

TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

Ir. Djoko Hadi Prajitno, MSME. was graduated from Mining Metallurgy Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Material Engineering UNSW Australia. He is as expert in Metallurgy/materials engineer at Metallurgy Laboratory Pusat Teknologi Nuklir Bahan dan Radiometri (PTNBR) Badan tenaga nuklir nasional (BATAN) Bandung. He is also lecturer at University of Jenderal Achmad Yani Bandung and lecturer at ITENAS (Institut teknologi nasional) Bandung. In campus he teachs material engineering, corrosion, advanced material, coating and metallurgy. He has researched some topics related to his expertise such as

  1. Research and development metal alloy with zirconium matrix
  2. Research and development coating of metal alloy inconel with aluminate in collaboration with mining engineering ITB
  3. Production and development of compound alloy between nikel-aluminida metals in collaboration with mechanical engineering ITB
  4. Coating of nikel aluminida at inconel alloy with spray Coating in collaboation with mechanical engineering ITB
  5. Research on Coating
  6. Research for production of material for stater drive Hercules airoplane in collaboration with DISLITBANG TNI AU
  7. Welding research of dissimilar metal
  8. And others

He frequently teachs training class for participants from many Indonesian companies. he has experience and knowledge about materials and skill that can be beneficial for warehouse people. He is member or has experience at some organizations such as HFI, Indonesian Corrosion Association, LSP AKN, Indosian Petroleum Association, National America Corrosion Engineer . Related to his expertise, he has much field experiences.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING CORROSION MANAGEMENT FOR MECHANICAL

 This course will cover the main causes of corrosion in upstream oil and gas operations, as well as monitoring and mitigation methods. The various corrosion mechanisms give rise to a number of different forms of corrosion damage which will all be considered. Participants will estimate the corrosivity of a given environment through analysis of the chemical and physical characteristics of the system. You will review approaches to selecting materials and coatings for corrosion resistance for different conditions and applications, including the use of NACE. You will be introduced to CP surveys, selecting the CP system type, estimating current requirements and the design principles of simple cathodic protection systems. There will be opportunity to select and utilize corrosion inhibitors for different systems and you will learn how to select and apply corrosion monitoring techniques to create an integrated monitoring program. The course content is based on a field facilities engineering point of view as opposed to a more narrowly specialized corrosion engineering or chemistry viewpoint. This course provides an appropriate balance of necessary theory and practical applications to solve/mitigate corrosion related problems.

Deskripsi

Proses produksi minyak dari formasi tersebut mempunyai kandungan air yang sangat besar, bahkan bisa mencapai kadar lebih dari 90%. Selain air, juga terdapat komponen-komponen lain berupa pasir, garam-garam mineral, aspal, gas CO2 dan H2S. Komponen-komponen yang terbawa bersama minyak ini akan menimbulkan permasalahan tersendiri pada proses produksi minyak bumi, antara lain dapat menyebabkan korosi; kerusakan pada casing tubing, sistem perpipaan dan surface fasilities; serta ion-ion yang larut dalam air seperti kalsium, karbonat, dan sulfat dapat membentuk kerak (scale). Scale dapat menyebabkan pressure drop karena terjadinya penyempitan pada sistem perpipaan, tubing, dan casing sehingga dapat menurunkan produksi minyak bumi tersebut. Training ini akan memberikan pemahaman mengenai teknik-teknik pencegahan korosi dan scale pada proses produksi minyak bumi.

Dengan mengikuti training ini diharapkan peserta dapat mengetahui penyebab-penyebab terjadinya Korosi dan Scale serta dapat mengaplikasi teknik-teknik pencegahan terjadinya Korosi dan Scale pada proses pengolahan minyak bumi.

Deskripsi :

Industri  minyak  dan  gas,  terutama  mengenai  eksplorasi,  operasi  produksi,  operator lapangan  biasanya  ingin  memiliki  pasokan  minyak  dan  gas  bumi  yang  tidak  terputus  ke  titik eksport  atau  pengolahan. Pipa-pipa  dan  komponen  perlengkapan  dari  lining  akan mengalami  degradasi  material  dengan  berbagai  kondisi  dari  sumur  akibat  perubahan komposisi  fluida,  souring  sumur  selama  periode  tertentu,  perubahan  kondisi  operasi  tekanan dan  suhu. Dalam  sebuah  industri  migas, korosi  merupakan  problematika  yang  sering  terjadi.  Berbagai  macam  cara  dalam mengendalikannya.  Korosi yang terjadi pada industri minyak dan gas umumnya dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor utama, yaitusuhu dan tekanan yang tinggi, adanya gas korosif (CO2 dan H2S), air yang terproduksi dari dalam sumur dan adanya aktifitas bakteri. Degradasi  material  menyebabkan  penurunan  sifat  mekanis  seperti  kekuatan, keuletan,  kekuatan  impak,  menyebabkan  loss  of  materials,  pengurangan  ketebalan  dan pada akhirnya  mengalami  kegagalan. Dari beberapa faktor utama tersebut, sekarang ini pengendalian korosi sangat bertumpu pada aktifitas monitoring dan kontrol terhadap gas korosif serta dasar pemilihan peralatan yang digunakan, karena faktor lainnya merupakan parameter tingkat produksi yang pengendaliannya akan berdampak terhadap produktifitas dari fasilitas minyak dan gas.

DESKRIPSI

Corrosion Management course will cover the main causes of corrosion in upstream oil and gas operations, as well as monitoring and mitigation methods. The various corrosion mechanisms give rise to a number of different forms of corrosion damage which will all be considered. Participants will estimate the corrosivity of a given environment through analysis of the chemical and physical characteristics of the system. You will review approaches to selecting materials and coatings for corrosion resistance for different conditions and applications, including the use of NACE. You will be introduced to CP surveys, selecting the CP system type, estimating current requirements and the design principles of simple cathodic protection systems. There will be opportunity to select and utilize corrosion inhibitors for different systems and you will learn how to select and apply corrosion monitoring techniques to create an integrated monitoring program. Corrosion Management course content is based on a field facilities engineering point of view as opposed to a more narrowly specialized corrosion engineering or chemistry viewpoint. This course provides an appropriate balance of necessary theory and practical applications to solve/mitigate corrosion related problems.

DESCRIPTION CATHODIC PROTECTION

This course focuses on cathodic protection methods with sacrificial anode and impressed current to stop corrosion. Review on corrosion and technique by which it can be identified, monitored and controlled will be given in detail. Active participation is encouraged through case studies and examples especially on the use transformer-rectifier of impressed current and magnesium, zinc and alum sacrificial anodes.
