ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ROTATING EQUIPMENT COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is an integral part of the programme, has a duration of few days, and covers equipment driven directly by gas turbines or indirectly through gas turbine driven generator sets, electrical power systems and motor drivers. Typical applications are for Oil, Gas and other industries

OUTLINES ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ROTATING EQUIPMENT

  1. Gas Turbine Engines
    The basic principles underpinning the operation of the gas turbine will be presented. This section will also include a description of the following cycles:- simple, reheat, recuperated, inter-cooled, combined gas and steam and steam injected. The effects of engine rating, variation in efficiencies between engines, maintenance intervals and fuel quality are introduced.
  2.  Pumps and Compressors
    The basic principles of rotor dynamic and positive displacement pumps and compressors and the effects of cavitation, compressibility, viscosity variation and humidity. Losses in fluid systems and interaction between machines and systems. Introduction to the basic design principles of pumps and compressors, involving shafts, bearings and seal systems. A discussion of the regulation of pumps and compressors. The correct selection and application of pumps and compressors.
  3. Electrical Power Systems
    Power System Design covering voltage and frequency control, maximum and minimum system fault levels. A demonstration of power system simulation by computer studies including load flow, voltage drop, short circuit levels, motor starting performance and protection grading.
  4. Electrical Power Generation
    An overview of the electrical features of power generation. The mechanical engineer is involved as a member of a design team, often as the lead engineer, with the important requirement of discussing electrical design features with specialist engineers and then being expected to take part in the decision making process for a power generation package. Design, construction and specification of synchronous machines (generators) with typical data sheets.
  5. Electric Motors Drive Systems
    Design and construction features of asynchronous machines (motors), load characteristics, active and reactive load sharing, power transfer between power systems. Matching motors to the driven equipment and effect of power supply system variations. Specifications in relation to IEC/BSS standards. Data sheets for the selection and purchase of electrical machines. Electrical Variable Speed Drive Systems with power electronics and various types of convertors, applications to motors and generators, effect on driven equipment. Data sheets for the selection and purchase of systems.
  6. Aspects of Electrical Machines
    Hazardous area protection, electrical power three phase calculations with worked examples and typical values that can be used during project evaluations. Operation and Maintenance plans and common failures. Digital microprocessor systems interfacing with plant control systems for the control, protection and retained information on motor performance.
  7. Selection of Drivers
    When driving rotating equipment a key aspect of any project is the decision on whether pumps or compressors are to be driven by gas turbine engines or by electric motors from a power system with the option of local gas turbine driven power generation. Each project will always have its own particular solution.

 

ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ROTATING EQUIPMENT DESIGN WORKSHOP
Workshop exercises in which machines are chosen to meet an outline brief for a pump or compressor plant with the appropriate direct or electric motor drive and its control system will be undertaken.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING BELT CONVEYOR: OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE

Conveyor digunakan sebagai komponen dalam warehousing dan distribusi terautomasi, membuat lebih efisien dalam manufacturing dan distribution. Belt conveyor seringkali memberikan nilai ekonomis dan kepuasan sebagai metode transportasi material seperti: material tambang, tanah, pasir, batu pecah, semen, beton segar, dan material lain dalam dunia industry, merupakan sistem penghematan tenaga kerja yang memperkenankan volume besar bergerak cepat dalam proses, memperkenankan perusahaan mengapalkan atau menerima volume yang lebih besar dengan ruang penyimpanan yang lebih kecil dan pengeluaran untuk tenaga kerja yang lebih rendah. Semakin cepat dan menerus operasinya semakin besar kapasitas transportasi material. Tidak dapat dibayangkan kerugian yang terjadi jika plant mengalami shutdown akibat belt conveyor rusak atau putus. Untuk itu penting sekali menjaga agar belt conveyor tetap dalam kondisi baik. Melalu pelatihan ini, akan dipaparkan bagaimana cara-cara dalam operation dan maintenance dari belt conveyor.

DESKRIPSI

Maintenance Management adalah suatu manajemen perawatan mesin tentang tata cara melakukan kegiatan maintenance mesin-mesin dalam suatu pabrik secara efektif dan efisien. Perawatan merupakan bagian yang sangat penting guna menjamin keberlangsungan kegiatan produksi dari sebuah instalasi industri. Beragamnya jenis peralatan, teknologi yang digunakan, kondisi kerja peralatan dan sebagainya membuat jenis perawatannyapun sangat beragam, dimana setiap metoda perawatan akan sangat sesuai dengan kondisi spesifik peralatan maupun operasinya. Pada pelatihan ini peserta diharapkan akan mampu memahami jeis-jenis perawatan serta peneraannya di industri, sehingga dapat menganalisa ataupun memahami metoda perawatan yang dilaksanakannya.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING BOILER

Boiler dalam bidang industri bermanfaat sebagai mesin pemanas, pengering, pengawet proses, maupun pembangkit energi. Boiler merupakan mesin konversi energi yang berfungsi mengubah energi kimia bahan bakar menjadi energi uap atau bejana tertutup dimana panas pembakaran dialirkan ke air sampai terbentuk air panas (uap). Air panas pada tekanan tertentu kemudian digunakan untuk mengalirkan panas ke suatu proses. Karena segi manfaat boiler yang sedemikian besar, maka boiler harus selalu di-maintenance dengan baik agar tidak terjadi penurunan fungsi yang serius sehingga menimbulkan kerusakan dan kerugian bagi perusahaan. Oleh karenanya harus didukung tenaga teknis yang kompeten, yang memiliki pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang prosedur, aspek yang fundamental dan teknis yang terkait dengan operasi, maintenance dan troubleshooting boiler. Kemampuan tersebut sudah tentu dapat membantu perusahaan mereduksi terjadinya down time dan dapat meningkatkan keuntungan baik dari segi produksi maupun dari umur mesin yang lebih panjang. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut, dapat diperoleh melalui program pelatihan ini.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING TURBIN UAP GENERATOR:

Program pelatihan ini berkaitan teori dasar mengenai turbin uap, mencakup prinsip kerja, jenis-jenis bagian-bagian turbin uap dan alat bantu serta serta pengoperasian turbin uap pada Pembangkit Tenaga Listrik (PLTU) sesuai dengan SOP, standard Perusahaan, Instruction Manual dan Standard Pabrik. Program Pelatihan ini disusun berdasarkan kebutuhan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sesuai Standar kompetensi perusahaan/industri dan SKKNI.

TUJUAN TRAINING TURBIN UAP GENERATOR

Setelah  mengikuti  Diklat  ini  peserta  dapat:

DESKRIPSI TRAINING AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

Pelatihan teknisi Air Conditioning (AC) System akan melatih para teknisi dan engineer diperusahaan agar memiliki pengetahuan tentang kontruksi, komponen dan prinsip kerja sistem Air Conditioning (AC) beserta cara pemeliharaan dan perawatan, pemeriksaan dan penggantian beberapa komponennya yang sesuai dengan prosedur yang benar dan standar kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja. Unjuk kerja sistem Air Conditioning (AC) yang sesuai dengan standar dan kebutuhan akan menjamin kelangsungan dan kestabilan operasi mesin produksi. Kegagalan sistem pendinginan akan mengakibatkan kerusakan peralatan dan terganggunya kontinuitas operasi sistem sehingga kinerja produksi akan menurun.Pelatihan ini dapat memberikan solusi terhadap masalah pengoperasian, pemeliharaan dan trouble shooting system Air Conditioning (AC) di unit produksi.

Parameter perpindahan (displacement), kecepatan (velocity) dan percepatan (acceleration) lengkap dengan sensor serta amplifiernya akan dijelaskan. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan metode pengukuran getaran untuk menghasilkan data yang valid agar dapat dianalisis lebih lanjut. Setelah diperoleh data yang valid, pembahasan dilanjutkan dengan contoh analsis data spektrum sederhana.Setelah itu baru dibahas analisis spectrum data lanjut dengan berbagai contoh studi kasus mulai dari low-speed sampai dengan high speed. Kasus-kasus lain seperti ghost-vibration juga akan dibahas. Setelah itu, peserta diajak untuk melakukan on-site vibration measurement dengan menggunakan alat ukur vibrasi yang dimiliki perusahaan agar sesuai dengan realitas lapangan, pada beberapa mesin yang ada di perusahaan ybs. Setelah itu data yang diperoleh dibawa dianalisis untuk kemudian jika ada masalah peserta diberi pengetahuan tentang tata cara penyelesaian masalah.

Dr.Ir. Paryana Puspaputra, M.Eng., and Team

Paryana Puspaputra was born in Kotabumi on January 19, 1964, is a Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Indonesia Islamic University – Indonesia. Undergraduate from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia (ITB) in 1990 and master degree in Mechanical Engineering Department of Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan in 1996. He achieved his doctorate degree in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia (ITB) in 2012. He is also experienced as consultant and training instructure for several manufacturing and oil company, such as Chevron, Total, KPA, Petrokimia, Semen, Indonesia Power, etc. His background in mechanical equipment and machinery is completed with knowledge in instrumentation technology which was started from his final project in undergraduate by making software and data acquisition for predictive maintenance, and continued with his graduate thesis in control system for nano technology. There are researches and industrial implementation in data acquisition such as building the DNC system for production-shop using CNC machine, developing the balancing machine for Panasia Indosyntex – Bandung, SCADA system Development based on Fuji Electric control system (for IPAL – Pertamina – Cilacap, Toxic Gas Monitoring – Dieng – Central Java, etc). Moreover, he is also an official trainer of softwares for design and manufacturing base on CAD/CAM Technology (AutoCAD, Inventor, and Delcam PowerShape, ArtCAM) and familier with some finite element based analysys softwares such as Moldflow, ANSYS, SAP, CAESAR II, etc.

Ir. I Nengah Diasta, M.Eng. is graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and till now he is a lecturer at mechanical engineering Bandung Institute of Technology majoring on fluid mechanics and fluid machineries.
