DESKRIPSI

Salah satu tujuan perusahaan adalah profit, Profit banyak digerogoti oleh biaya-biaya, diantaranya biaya maintenance. Peningkatan biaya maintenance diakibatkan oleh meningkatnya jumlah kerusakan mesin. Oleh sebab itu System Maintenance sangat diperlukan untuk menurunkan jumlah kerusakan mesin.
Banyak perusahaan telah melakukan system MAINTENANCE di bagian Produksi
(Autonomous Maintenance) maupun bagian Maintenance (Planned Maintenance), tetapi system tersebut belum menunjukan jumlah penurunan kerusakan mesin produksi yang significant.
Hal ini, dikarenakan tidak dilakukannya aktifitas check Maintenance secara tepat dan konsisten. Ketidak konsistenan ini disebabkan oleh item check Maintenance yang tidak di-Visualisasi secara efektif.

PENDAHULUAN 

Reliabilitas dekat dengan kata KEHANDALAN dalam bahasa Indonesia. Kehandalan sebuah sistem dapat diukur dengan nilai reliabilitasnya.  Sistem mempunyai kehandalan yang sempurna bila nilai reliabilitasnya 100 %, sebaliknya kehandalan sistem rendah bila nilai reliabilitasnya rendah. Nilai reliabilitas dapat digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan departemen maintenance dalam melaksanakan tugasnya.

Banyak pendapat yang mendefinisikan reliabilitas antara lain :

  1. bahwa sistem itu reliable (handal) bila dapat bekerja tanpa mendapatkan perlakuan maintenance dalam kurun waktu tertentu, atau maintenance free dalam waktu tertentu,
  2. bahwa sistem handal bila nilai availibilitynya tinggi,
  3. bahwa sistem handal bila komponen-komponenya dapat bekerja sebagaimana yang diharapkan.

Pendapat-pendapat itu perlu disempurnakan karena masih berupa konsep yang bias dan tidak menunjukan nilai yang eksak.

Kursus ini membahas bagaimana cara menghitung nilai reliabilitas yang berdasarkan availibity dan maintainability sistem. Nilai availibiity dan maintainability sistem diwujudkan dalam angka-angka numerik yang bukan merupakan fungsi waktu, sehingga dapat diperoleh rumusan nilai reliabilitas yang dapat menggambarkan secara eksak kehandalan sistem secara  riil time.

INTRODUCTION

Current competitions on product price and product quality have introduced complex production systems, which are more efficient and effective. Health, environment and safety are also other pressures for such production systems. This jump of complexity of the production systems requires also a paradigm shift in the philosophy of maintenance, in order to achieve effective and efficient production systems, without increasing maintenance cost or downtime. The Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology offers the most effective way in realizing those objectives.

RCM determines the priority of maintenance tasks based on the failure consequences of functional failure being analyzed and the applicability and the effectiveness of the maintenance tasks. This is to ensure the safety consequences of the functional failures are considered in a conservative way. The rests are economic considerations.

This course elaborates the challenges in maintenance practices where safety and costs are the main issues. As a basis, five of the most important distribution functions in the reliability theory are discussed as well as some exercise in developing such functions. The concept of maintenance is explained after discussing some definitions with respect to failure and degradation types, as the core of the course. The process of  RCM analysis requires an identification of function, functional failure, failure modes and failure effects. Therefore FMEA is discussed. The selection of the most appropriate task requires an understanding on the specific characteristics of each maintenance task, the four basic maintenance tasks. A compilation of FMEA and task selection becomes the logic of RCM. Due to different characteristics of structures, RCM has different logic for determining maintenance task and interval for structures. For the two logics of RCM, this course discusses some example of applications. This course is closed with a method to evaluate the effectiveness of a maintenance program, so called the Reliability Program.

Dr. Ir. Edy Suwondo

Dr. Ir. Edy Suwondo is a lecturer at the Aerospace Engineering Department, Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB) and a member of the Aircraft Design, Operation and Maintenance Research Group, ITB. He has been working in the area of maintenance since 1992. His expertise is in Reliability Centered Maintenance, Reliability Control Program, Maintenance Planning and Life Cycle Costing. He has conducted various research in those area at GMF AeroAsia, Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM), Nusantara Turbine and Propulsion (PT NTP) and Indonesian Aerospace Company (IAe). He involves also in various projects in his research group. Mr. Edy Suwondo received his bachelor degree from the Aerospace Engineering ITB and his doctor degree from Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands. His doctor research was in the applications of Life Cycle Costing in maintenance area.

This Reliability Centered Maintenance course is beneficial especially for continuous process industry and utilizes sophisticate and expensive production equipment, such as: Oil and Gas Industry, Electricity Plant, Petrochemical Plant, Marine Industry, Manufacturing, Automotive, Assembling Industry, Aviation, Construction, Pulp and Paper, Mining, etc. The course is designed by considering the need of maintenance method that reliable to ensure the success of production, a method of maintenance to push downs a break down or unplanned disturbance. OVERVIEW TRAINING RELIABILITY CENTERED MAINTENANCE & RISK BASED INSPECTION

Aktivitas maintenance di dunia industri, terutama di dalam pabrik, dewasa ini memegang peran penting dalam dunia bisnis. Maintenance engineering telah enjadi bidang yang mengalami perkembangan pesat dalam dua dekade terakhir sejak Reliability Centered Management (RCM) muncul. Meski kemunculannya di lingkungan industri pesawat terbang, RCM juga menyebabkan pergeseran paradigma maintenance engineering di bidang-bidang industri yang lain. Dengan RCM, paradigma lama “preserve the equipment” bergeser menjadi “preserve the function”, tanpa melalaikan aspek “safety” fasilitas pabrik. Risk Based Inspection adalah suatu metoda yang relatif baru untuk melakukan inspeksi, khususnya terhadap mechanical integrity dari suatu pabrik. Dengan metode lama yang bermodalkan jadwal preventive/predictive maintenance, seorang maintenance engineer akan melakukan maintenance. Aktivitas maintenance seperti ini sifatnya statis tidak dinamis. Tidak ada metode sistematis untuk merubah interval waktu inspeksi berdasarkan hasil inspeksi sebelumnya, kerusakan yang teridentifikasi, serta umur peralatan. RBI menjadikan aktivitas maintenance lebih sensitif terhadap kondisi “sekarang” sebuah fasilitas pabrik. Diharapkan dengan pelatihan ini peserta dapat memahami konsep dasar Reliability Engineering dan aplikasinya dibidang industri sesuai standard yang ada, memahami cara meningkatkan    produktivitas dengan peningkatan Plant Availability, memahami aplikasi penggunaan risiko sebagai dasar pengelolaan program produksi dan mampu merancang serta mengaplikasikan tools yang lazim digunakan pada maintenance & inspection program

RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY & MAINTAINABILITY ANALYSIS TRAINING INTRODUCTION

Reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) is one of the most current maintenance program used in oil and gas industry at design (FEED) stage or in operation stage. The reliability data, in terms of MTTF, MTBF will be evaluated for each individual equipment and system. The reliability of the system is determined using a reliability block diagram by considering serial or parallel arrangement of the equipment that construct the system (e.g. gas process plant). Maintainability is defined, and assumptions are made according to data history of similar equipment/system or engineering judgment. Sensitivity analysis is also performed for various cases of MTTR including logistical support for parts and materials to evaluate which factors become the major contributors to the maintainability and availability. For RAM modeling, various foreseeable scenarios, including the effect of logistic time delay, can also be developed. The major cause for unreliability and unavailability related to down time will be discussed, and the necessary steps to avoid that condition will be recommended. In this training, the OREDA (2004), BS 5760 and ISO 14224 as primary RAM sources will be consulted.

  1. Defining the system by utilize the PFDs, P&IDs and equipment lists
  2. Obtaining necessary failure rate data and repair from reliable resources, e.g. OREDA and in accordance with the industry standard ISO 14224
  3. Determine individual equipment reliability
  4. Determining the MTTR.  Calculating reliability and availability of the system (plant level)
  5. Performing sensitivity modeling for various cases of MTTR including logistic supports for parts and materials.
  6. Outlining the major causes of non-availability and production inefficiency and propose improvements to the equipment/systems maintenance programs where appropriate

 

RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY & MAINTAINABILITY ANALYSIS TRAINING BENEFIT

RAM analysis will benefit the maintenance engineers to manage both rotating and  static equipments and their asset in more quantitative manner using proper statistics data generated from historic or well known reliability data based. Dr. Ahmad Taufik has much work experiences joining in some institution such as at Lloyd’s Register as Operation Manager, , PT. Surveyor Indonesia and PT. AT Solusi as consultant and trainer. And at present Dr. Ahmad Taufik is an Asset Integrity Specialist for PT Pertamina PHE-ONWJ (formerly BP West Java, Indonesia). He has performed in depth study in integrity  research for pipeline, mechanical and pressurized system. He is member of ASM and ASME. He has wide interest including RBI, PIM, FTA, FMECA, RCA, RAM study and many other risk engineering areas. PENDAHULUAN TRAINING RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintability)

Reliability, Availability, dan Maintainability (RAM) merupakan tiga karakteristik dalam suatu sistem yang berhubungan dengan operasionalnya. Dalam program teknik rekayasa sistem (System Engeineering), Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) merupakan salah satu tinjauan yang sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa sistem berada pada tingkat kondisi yang diinginkan seperti tingkat keselamatan (safety), performance, lingkungan, batasan waktu, dan tujuan ekonomis. Faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi pentingnya RAM antara lain adalah ; desain sistem, mutu manufaktur, lingkungan dimana sistem dioperasikan, ditangani, disimpan, desain dan pengembangan sistem pendukung, tingkat pelatihan dan kemampuan dari personel yang mengoperasikan dan memelihara sistem. Pencapaian tingkat RAM yang spesifik pada suatu sistem sangat penting berkaitan dengan kesiapan (readiness), keselamatan sistem (System Safety), kesuksesan misi (mission success), alokasi biaya (total cost) dan dukungan logistik (logictic support)

Keandalan, Ketersediaan, dan rawatan (RAM atau RMA) adalah atribut desain sistem yang memiliki dampak signifikan pada memelihara kelestarian atau Biaya Life Cycle Total (LCC) dari sistem yang dikembangkan. Selain itu, RAM atribut dampak kemampuan untuk melakukan misi dimaksudkan dan mempengaruhi keberhasilan misi keseluruhan. Definisi standar Keandalan adalah probabilitas nol kegagalan selama interval waktu yang ditentukan (atau misi), sedangkan Ketersediaan didefinisikan sebagai persentase waktu sistem dianggap siap untk digunakan saat bertugas. Rawatan adalah ukuran kemudahan dan kecepatan dengan yang sistem atau peralatan dapat dikembalikan ke status operasional setelah kegagalan.

Perusahaan dengan semua lapisan dan peran Keandalan Ketersediaan, dan rawatan (RAM) dalam proses akuisisi, di mana itu terjadi dalam pengembangan sistem, dan manfaat dari mempekerjakan itu. Peran SDM dalam bidang tersebut juga diharapkan untuk memahami dan merekomendasikan ketika RAM sesuai denga situasi dan jika proses dapat disesuaikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan Program. Mereka harapkan memahami persyaratan teknis untuk RAM serta strategi dan proses yang mendorong dan memfasilitasi partisipasi aktif dari penggunan akhir dan stakeholder lainnya dalam proses RAM. Merekan diharapkan untuk memonitor dan mengevaluasi kontraktor RAM upaya teknis dan keseluruhan proses RAM program akuisisi dan merekomendasikan perubahan ketika diperlukan.

DESKRIPSI TRAINING MAINTENANCE PRIORITY INDEX

Sebagian besar dari Reliability Management Process didasarkan pada pengelolaan dari berbagai aset kritikal, namun banyak organisasi yang gagal untuk memahami sepenuhnya mengenai makna dibalik dari criticality ranking. Umumnya, aset yang ‘kritikal’ memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap misi dari organisasi, baik tingkat produksi atau pelayanan, mutu dari produk atau pelayanan yang dihasilkan, atau biaya dari produk atau pelayanan.
